Here we GROW again...Baby "D" will make 6!

God sure has a funny sense of humor!  So on March 12, 2012 I took a pregnancy test to see if these signs I had been having were signs of pregnancy - BINGO!  We didn't tell anyone for about another month and by that time I was 9 weeks pregnant.  Here's Baby D's first sono pic from April 9, 2012 confirming for sure it's a baby - and only one!  The due date is November 14, 2012, but likely it will be one week or so earlier because I'll have to have a C-section done again since I've had two previously.

Our next appointment with the OB was pretty regular, no sono, just making sure all was well.  I did have to see the perinatalogist, Dr. Thigpen, because of my age (apparently 37 is geriatric for baby making) so we set the appointment and went to talk.  We saw the genetic counselor first, she had a run down of history because we'd seen them for our other 2 pregnancies, we knew the drill...yes, I'll do the blood screening....no, I'll pass on the amnio, thanks.  Pretty short because we'd "been there, done that" before and as far as invasive screenings go, for us abortion isn't an option so whatever those would tell we'd know when the baby was born anyway so no reason to compromise the pregnancy.  Here are photos from that visit and a video too....the "money" shot is at the very end!

13 week sono and belly pic

Now we think this baby is going to be a boy, but will get the official word from the doctor when I go back on June 1st!

So, YES this was unplanned...YES we do have a lot going on in our lives already...YES we do have our hands full with the 3 we have plus everything else...BUT we aren't totally freaked out because if this wasn't meant to happen then it wouldn't have, we weren't trying to help it along!  I think we handle our family pretty well and one more won't make that much more work --- I hope!  Brady and Angelina will be in kindergarten by the time this kid gets here, so that's a relief, plus Cirstyn will be in her pre-school two days per week.  So there will be some saving graces already.

It's funny to me that we planned out so much of our lives before ever having kids, lived a lot and got to know each other frontwards and backwards, inside and out.  Since having children it seems that no many things have been planned, or if they have then the plan didn't turn out quite like we wanted it to or thought it should.  Even though we would not have "planned" for Angelina to have the medical issues she does, she has been such a blessing just the way she is teaching us patience and such a complete kind of love.  She prepared us for what was coming with Brady and the ability to handle everything.  If those situations haven't hampered our family bond, or for that matter the tornado that is Cirstyn, then I think the 4 of our kids growing up together are going to teach them so much about compassion and acceptance of others as well as things that Larry and I just might not be able to teach them!

Only time will tell......

Fairy Princess Cirstyn turns 3!

Fairy Princess Cirstyn Delaney was an awesome hostess with the mostess for her 3rd birthday party at Pump It Up Party on May 6th!  She wanted Tinkerbell and she got Tinkerbell.  She and her entourage had such a great time bouncing and playing, it was so good to see her just be the center of attention for a change.  Last year she got the shaft with only the 5 of us and Grams at the apartment in Houston to sing Happy Birthday to her.  It reminded me of the story of my 2nd birthday...who remembers the shoe scene???  Anyway, we told her this year she could pick any place to go for her birthday and we'd have a special party for her.  The bouncy house place it was!  I found a Living Social deal - a $175 party for $85 oh yeah! - so we booked it.  It had to be on a Sunday - Thursday and since the Sunday after Cirstyn's actual birthday was Mother's Day we decided the weekend before.  Our friend Briget manages Pump It Up on N. Beach so she and her staff took super care of us!  I was trying to set up all the little things for her cupcake display and good bags, they basically shooed me away and did a fantastic job with everything

Cirstyn wanted to be THE fairy so she decided on the purple fairy costume, because that's her favorite color, and I embellished the tutu that Brandie made for her with ribbons to go over the costume.  She looked   A-DORABLE!

Cake time!!!  Cirstyn wanted Tinkerbell cupcakes so that's what she got from our awesome friends at Creative Memories, Inc. Bakery.  They did an incredible job and we added the bling!  During her Happy Birthday song she buried her head in her Daddy's chest embarrassed to be the center of attention.  Of course, that didn't last long as she got underway with cake and ice cream!

She's trying to squeeze a year on us here!

And now for their favorite part....PRESENTS!!

Thank you to my Aunt Jennifer for taking all these wonderful pictures....she knows to bring her camera because Mom isn't so prepared!

Sissy hangin' out with Tia Marcey!

And afterwards once we were home, I was able to get this shot... Happy Birthday Sister!

Here are some pics of the party favors I printed, cut out, glued, stuffed and tied!  Hours of work that I'm sure none of the kids appreciated at least to the extent that I would like for them to ;)

The goodie bags

Rosetta's seed packets

Silvermist's drew drop bracelet

Iridessa's glow in the dark stars

Tink's candy buttons "Lost Things"

Cupcake wrappers

All in all I'd say her party was a huge success and all she could have asked for!  We are so blessed to have such a great family and good friends in our corner!  We love you all and thank you for making her 3rd birthday so special.  She really was THE Fairy Princess!
