Angelina had surgery on 2/13/2007 to close the PDA valve that allows blood to flow into her lungs. The surgery went well and she is still very much recovering, but we are keeping our thoughts positive. She is retaining fluid so she is pretty swollen right now. Her blood pressure has been all over the place so she is back on the dopemine to control that as well. She has received a couple of rounds of blood to help her have better flow. On the flip side of this her blood gases (oxygenated blood) is very good now and her heart rate is great as well.
The doctor and nurses explained the possible side effects in detail and she is experiencing a lot of them. Larry and I prepared our minds for what she would look like or have to overcome, but it's hard to tell our hearts to remain calm.
She is such a little fighter though and I know she will be responding better in a few days.
Again, all your prayers and concern is so appreciated. She needs all of that she can get right now so please keep her on your prayer lists.
Love to all of you,
Andrea and Larry
